'I first saw Stu and Med playing an acoustic jam night in Kendal at a bar called Dickie Doodles. I remember cringing with embarrassment at just how bad they were. I wondered during their performance if they were taking the piss....but no, they were being 100% serious. They seemed like nice guys though so I kind of felt sorry for them. I had mutual friends who knew them so I had to have a drink with them after they played and I have to admit, I wondered wether they were both mentally handicapped. I really did feel bad for these guys. I decided there and then to take up the drums. I would learn to drum, ask to join their band, compose new material for them, tell them what to play and tell them they can't sing anymore. It took me a while to learn the drums but I managed it in the end. I talked the two of them into moving to Manchester. There was no way I was going to be seen with the two of them around Kendal so i thought Manchester seems far enough away. I then spent the next 6 years drumming for them. I had my own life to think about but knowing I was stopping these two lunatics from hurting anybodies heads with their complete utter shite attempt at pop songs made me feel like all the years work was worth it. They got in touch recently to tell me they were putting absolutely everything up online, I pleaded with them not to, but they had already made their decision. Domo Cd Cidex and Hotel are alright but the other 2 Eps were honestly such shit. I can't even listen to them. The first track off AE....Med's guitars out of tune. The second song has some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard. Oh no wait, track 4 on that ep...Milo....try listening to that without laughing.... I shall recite the lyrics here:

The rocks seem so cold.
And the leaves look like mould.
My sense of smell can hold
The child I'll never know.

Honestly. How could I let them carry on with this? I couldn't. Which is why I left my wife and 2 kids and learnt to drum. In my mind I was doing humanity a favour. Arficeden. Only any good towards the end because of all the effort I put in to stop them singing. You're welcome.'
